Magic Software to ramp up India operations

MUMBAI: Magic Software said on Thurday it was planning to double the headcount at its Pune development centre by July 2005 and would focus on partnerships in the Indian market with system integrators and application vendors. "We will double headcount at our Pune development centre from the present 120 by July 2005," CEO Menachem Hasfari said. Under its new business strategy, Magic would work with partners on joint customer engagements to deliver complex integration solutions and increase its presence in India which was one of the growth markets for the company, he said. The current focus for India would be the iBOLT, a business integration and process management and development solution, and eDeveloper, an unique application development environment that allows rapid creation and customisation of large-scale and complex distributed applications targetted at software integrators and enterprises, the CEO added. The company would focus on partnerships with system integrators and application vendors to emphasise on bolstering development, improving product support and aggressive sales and marketing across the country. Magic has recently announce signing up with Wipro to market and implement the iBOLT integration suite and Mindtree Consulting to offer customised EAI solution using iBOLT.
