MY SMS App Breaks the Language Barrier
Bangalore: IMImobile, a VAS infrastructure and services enabler for mobile operators, unveiled a new app named My SMS. The new app helps to break the language barrier in India. Therefore it allows users to request SMS services in their native language. The new app can be availed in eight major languages which include English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi and Bangla. The new app also allows a user to receive SMSs in his language irrespective of the make of his handset. Users of Symbian or J2Me based mobile phones can download this application by dialing 56263. The USP of this service is its easy scalability, which allows many more languages to be added. The new app can be easily used as it does not require a keyword or short code. The application will be integrated at the back end of the service provider. It allows easy addition and deletion of categories and the menu can also be customized according to user's requirement or based on festivals or events. This will allow operators to easily connect with subscribers in their native language and promote their value added offerings better while keeping themselves better informed by talking in their users' own language. It can be provided as a white-label application for telecom operators, media companies, device manufacturers and enterprises. All the operators support this service at present.
