MBT opens development center in Kolkata

KOLKATA: Mahindra-british Telecom Ltd (MBT), which launched operations in Kolkata by opening a software development center, has unveiled plans to invest an additional $17.04 million in the next two years. The company has already invested $2.27 million in its development center, to begin with, will engage 400 professionals. Announcing the plans the company’s Managing Director and CEO, Vineet Nayyar said, “Apart from this newly inaugurated facility an additional facility would be built for accommodating 2,000 people. This would entail an investment of $17.04 million, which would be made over in the next two years.” In the next stage of the project, a further investment of $17.04 million would be made, C P Gurnani, President (International Operations) of MBT said, adding that over time, the Kolkata development center would engage about 3,000 professionals.
