Lucent assigns outsourcing deal to Hughes Software

NEW DELHI: Hughes Software Ltd announced a multi-year outsourcing relationship with Lucent Technologies to provide mobility-related development and support services.
Lucent will outsource the software development and maintenance support for selected wireless products and HSS will set up a dedicated development facility in Nuremberg, Germany and expand existing operations in Bangalore, an HSS release said.
The will enable Lucent to tap into HSS technology resources and its domain expertise in mobile networks, Rene van der Hulst, vice chairman, GSM product management, Lucent said.
