BANGALORE: Logix Microsystems Ltd., announced a strategic agreement with the portal Yahoo! for its automobile shopping division, Yahoo! Autos. The division will be powered by Logix’s flagship product izmocars. As a key component in their newly enhanced vehicle detail pages, Yahoo Autos has implemented new functionality - made possible by izmocars’ animation technology - to provide their consumers with access to 360 degree virtual tours of interior and exterior views of more than 500 vehicles, the company claimed. "Logix is proud to be the first Indian Company to successfully launch a mass market multimedia company that was completely developed in India. Based on this success, we plan to expand our sales network in the United States which will help us strengthen our market position in 2003. izmocars fills an important gap in the current Internet model of vehicle research by providing visual content that can be merged with technical data on sites like Yahoo! Autos," said Sanjay Soni, managing director of Logix. "Yahoo! Autos is committed to providing our consumers with innovative, rich content that we know is critical to the new vehicle research process," said Travis Bowie, senior producer of Yahoo! Autos. "Through our relationship with izmocars, we now offer consumers an interactive experience that we feel is the closest thing to kicking the tires."
