NEW DELHI: AFTER addressing the business PC segment, LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd is now planning to launch servers, which would be manufactured in the company's plant at Noida. "We plan to launch entry level servers by mid-October. We will launch three pre-configured models and built-to-order (BTO) solutions," Mr R. Manikandan, Deputy General Manager, sales and marketing - IT products, LG Electronics India, said. He added that the price point for the new product was yet to be decided. Elaborating on why the company was foraying in the server space, he said, "We realise that business PCs are not sold in isolation. Generally consumers look for a comprehensive solution entailing business PCs and servers," he said. The company sells business PCs under the brand `LG Pro PC'. The Pro PC range, apart from being customisable to specific business needs, also comes in standard configuration of 128 MB, 40 GB, 52X CD ROM, FDD, Keyboard, mouse and 15-inch CRT monitor, with four different processors.
