LG Hits Back With Better Version of Optimus Series

Bangalore: The Optimus series by LG Electronics has been replenished with the addition of Optimus Sol or LG E730. Optimus Sol features a 3.8-inch "Ultra AMOLED" display and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. In comparison to standard AMOLED, the new Ultra AMOLED displays has a two-fold advanced reflection rate, which reduces image quality degradation. LG Optimus Sol is 9.8mm thick, flaunting 512MB RAM, Flash 10.1, 1GHz, 2GB internal memory and 1500 mAh battery. Optimus Sol asserts to use an enhanced idle-based power management system that increases the battery life by 20 to 30 percent. LG claims that with the Dark UI (user interface), Optimus Sol utilizes less white light to extend the phone's battery life. Along with this, Optimus also sports a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focusing and auto-shuttering. It also includes Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, USB2.0 and aGPS. The phone will be launched in Europe by the beginning of mid-September, followed by releases in Central and South America. No news on the Indian arrival as yet.
