Kale Q3 net profit up 79 percent

Mumbai: Mumbai based Kale Consultants, an airline and travel software solutions and outsourced services provider, has recorded 26 percent year-on-year increase of revenues at 251.27 million for the third quarter (Q3) ended December 31, 2008. The profit after tax (PAT) stood at 14.79 million as compared to 8.26 million for the corresponding quarter of previous year, a growth of 79 percent. Consolidated total income for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 stood at 368.66 million as compared to 286.78 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, registering a growth of 29 percent. The consolidated PAT stood at 38.14 million as compared to 16.08 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The consolidated revenue for nine months ended December 31, 2008, is 1067.75 million compared to 882.93 million for the corresponding period last year, a growth of 21 percent. The company's consolidated earning per share (EPS) stood at 2.61. Commenting on the performance, Vipul Jain, CEO and Managing Director said, "With a steady operational performance in Q3, we are confident of ending FY09 on a positive note. The tangible benefits of acquiring Zero Octa in the last year have started to kick-in. Taking a proactive view of the overall economic conditions, we are also looking at streamlining operations and increasing organizational efficiencies."
