KaVaDo names Vikram Desai President, CEO

NEW YORK: KaVaDo Inc., a provider of Web application security technology, said that it has named Vikram K. Desai president and chief executive. Desai comes to KaVaDo from Radware, where he served as chief operating officer. Previously, he worked in a variety of executive management positions at Global Crossing, WorldCom, IGC Communications, and MCI Communications. New York-based KaVaDo, founded in 2000, has raised about $18 million to date, including a $1 million round in September 2000 from Neurone Ventures, a $6.8 million second round in December 2001 led by 3i and joined by Banc of America Equity Partners and Neurone Ventures, and a $10 million third round in July 2003 led by Pequot Ventures and joined by 3i, Banc of America Equity Partners and Neurone Ventures. The company also has an R&D facility in Rosh Ha'ain, Israel.
