JustDial raises $10 Million from Sequoia and SAP Ventures

Mumbai: Mumbai-based JustDial, a local business listings site, has raised $10 million from Sequoia Capital Global Equities and SAP Ventures, reports VCCircle. Sequoia had participated in an earlier round in mid 2009 when JustDial had raised 40 crore. Founded by VSS Mani in 1994, it has B2B and B2C listings of small and medium business advertisers in India. It allows users to get information on the listings over various media- internet, call centre, mobile internet and print. They have raised their first round of VC funding from SAIF Partners for 50 crore in 2006 and in 2007, raised 77 crore from Tiger Global Management. They charge a listing fee to local business, which can range between 3, 000 and a few lakhs, but the service is free for the customers. With a presence in 240 cities, they have 3.5 million listings and 25 million users. JustDial competes with OLX.in, Infomedia18's Yellow Pages, Quikr, AskLaila by Four Interactive and Sulekha.
