Juniper Networks opens center in Bangalore

BANGALORE: After establishing its presence in India two years ago, Juniper Networks, Inc. has opened its technical center in Bangalore. Announcing the opening of its technical center, Juniper Networks Managing Director India Operations, Sridhar Sarathy said, “This move reinforces our growth momentum in the Indian market. In fact, 10 percent of the overall engineering workforce in Juniper is based in India, and they work on all product lines as the U.S. research and development center.” The center will focus on the full spectrum of engineering work, which is currently done in the U.S. The laboratory at the new center will support company’s product development by testing systems for the company's solutions. Juniper Networks has invested about $8.5 million. The company’s Chief Technologist for Indian Operations, Sam Srinivas said, “With the growth of IP networking sector in India and professional testing a much sought-after resource, we are confident that this center is well-positioned to serve that need.”
