BANGALORE: Networking technology provider Juniper Networks launched its development centre in Bangalore on Thursday. The centre will provide software development and testing facilities for Junipers products.
This centre has 27 employees, most of whom have been taken from Allegro Network, after it shut down its India operations. Mr Ashok Krishnamurthi, executive vice president, product development, Juniper Networks, told newspersons on Thursday that this centre would complement the companys 800 strong engineering team spread across its centres in the US and Canada. The investment in the Bangalore centre was not disclosed.
The firm has also expanded its technical certification programme to give candidates training on a wider range of Juniper qualifications. It is expected to appoint a training partner to extend the training and certification available to Indian professionals.
With this expanded training programme all four tiers of the Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program will be available in India.
