New Delhi: India's leading private carrier Jet Airways Tuesday announced robust growth for the first quarter of fiscal 2007-08, with profits soaring to $20.3 million.

The company's operating revenues increased by 23.2 percent at $455 million, it said in a statement.

"Domestic operations accounted for 76 percent of revenues ($347 million) as compared to 87 percent ($312 million) in the fourth quarter of last year, reflecting the growing scale and contribution of the company's international operations," it said.

Mumbai-based Jet Airways' revenues from international operations have grown from $47.8 million in the fourth quarter of last year to $107.8 million.

In the last four quarters the company's international seat factors have gone up from 66 percent to 76 percent.

In April, Jet Airways bought over Air Sahara in the largest ever Indian aviation deal for 14.5 million and it plans to expand its international network to North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in the coming years with the induction of wide-body aircraft into its fleet in 2007.
