Is The PC Era On Brim Of Extinction?


Adding to it the tablets which were considered as the PC hunters might not be replacing PCs anytime soon. According to IDC survey conducted in the April this year, 91.3 percent of the respondents did not consider tablets as PC replacements. The survey also found that 58.5 percent of the participants bought tablets, which they used in addition to PC. While some tablets are narrowing the hardware gap with PCs and can run productivity softwares, they couldn’t offer the comfort and precision of personal computers. The presence of sheer number of keyboard accessories for tablets tells the whole story of how the users experience has been compromised while trying to create the content, typing on the touch screen.

Another beacon of hope for the PC industry is its predicted $200 billion market which offers larger room for profitable growth with innovations.
