HYDERABAD: The U.S. State of Iowa has asked Satyam Computer Services to set up a facility there. A high-level delegation from Iowa, headed by its Governor, Tom Vilsack, visited the Satyam campus in Hyderabad and invited it to set up its eighth U.S. facility in their State. Announcing this in a press conference, Vilsack and Swati Dandekar, Iowa's State Representative, said there was a two-way opportunity for companies in both countries. Dandekar said Iowa offered special incentives to companies in setting up bases there. The delegation gave a presentation to a group of entrepreneurs representing different sectors, showcasing what the U.S. State could offer to them. The Iowa University had entered into an agreement with Osmania University four years ago to jointly conduct research in biotechnology. He said the visit would be followed by more visits to further explore bilateral opportunities.
