Infosys regains top slot amongst IT cos

NEW DELHI: After its fall to the ninth position in market capitalization last week, Infosys has managed to recapitulate its top position on Tuesday amongst the IT companies.
With its market capital increasing to $20.50 billion, ahead of Tata Consultancy Services' $20.48 billion, Infosys now comes at the fourth position in list of biggest Indian companies.
The company saw a shares gain of 1.54 percent today to close at Rs 1629.60 at the BSE, while TCS fell 0.97 percent to end the day at Rs 1841.75.
Recording a market cap of $15.77 billion, another IT major Wipro, took the sixth position gaining 1.74 percent at Rs 485 while Satyam maintained its 25th position on the top-100 list at the end of today's trading session.
