Infosys, Oracle renew pact

MUMBAI: Infosys Technologies, India's second largest software exporter, renewed a pact with Oracle to jointly offer solutions in hi-tech, manufacturing and financial services sectors for the Asia Pacific region.

The two companies are working together to provide a solution based on "Oracle 10 g" technology for banks and financial institutions in Japan as an alternative to mainframe technology, said a statement issued here.

Infosys and Oracle have experience in helping Asia Pacific customers, especially in Japan, China and Australia, to effectively manage IT and business systems.

Under the renewed partnership pact, both the companies will address the business needs of global hi-tech and manufacturing companies in China through solutions based on the Oracle e-business suite.

In Australia, the two organizations will jointly offer solutions based on the latest financial services applications
