Srinagar: Union Minister of State for Industries Jairam Ramesh said here Monday that the trans-Line of control (LOC) trade would only start after an agreement was reached with the new government in Pakistan. "It is expected that an agreement would be signed with the new government in Pakistan within the next three months that would open the way for trans-LOC trade between the two countries," Ramesh said. The minister laid the foundation stone of the 480 million international trade centre in Pampore town - a first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was present on the occasion. Trans-LOC trade between Indian and Pakistani parts of Kashmir is likely to help the horticulture and handicraft industries, which would find better and easy terminal markets through this route.
