Jaya Bachchan: Formerly an actress and still a diva on India’s silver screen, Jaya Bachchan is the only woman on this list. She became a member of parliament in Rajya Sabha under the Samajwadi Party. In 2010, she exclaimed that she had all intentions of completing her parliamentary tenure, and in 2012, her dream come true when she was re-elected.

Jaya and her husband, Amitabh Bachchan, owns 494 crore, including 344 crore and 140 crore movable and immovable assets, respectively. Of this, she owns about a quarter, at 92 crore.

Jagan Mohan Reddy: Son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Reddy, Jagan Mohan Reddy comes up is in the fifth place with a net worth of 446 crore and owns 407 crore of movable assets and Rs 39 crore of immovable assets. He is an MP from Kadappa constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Some of that wealth is believed to be channeled to the government or some other entity.  However, he maintains that his wealth that he owns jointly with his wife came from legal sources, from his entities Bharathi Cements, Sandur Power Compant and Jagati Publications.
