#2 Chor Bazaar

Chor Bazaar in Hindi means the thieves market. So as the name suggests all the stolen goods and second hand ones can be found here. Located near Bhendi Bazaar in south Mumbai, it is one of the major tourist attractions too.

The bazaar has everything from Victorian furniture to automobile parts where one has to look high and low to find the products of one’s interest. The most popular legend about the place getting its name is when Queen Victoria came down to Bombay, some of her belongings and the violin went missing which later was found at the market.

#3 Meena Bazaar

The Meena Bazaar, located in Delhi on the eastern side of Jama Masjid, is one of the oldest bazaars in the world and had its existence from the Mughal times and was built by emporer Shah Jahan in 17th century.

The place was famous for selling grand carpets, rugs, precious stones and much more in the emperor’s time and now sells souvenirs. It is the India’s only ‘covered’ market which is divided into two the eastern and the western. It is a two storied arcade with a octagonal set up in the middle there is an open space for ventilation called the ‘Chhattar Manzil'

#4 Chandni Chowk

Chandni Chowk is one of largest whole markets in India which was built in the 17th century. It was built by Shah Jahan and designed by his daughter Jahan Ara.

Located in the central north Delhi, the bazaar has popular lanes with specific things like Nai Sarak,Lal Kuan and Dariba Kalan. For example, the Nai Sarak which is a wholesale market only for stationary, books, and paper products.
