NEW DELHI: An Indian advertisement to save water won the silver medal at the Worldwide Awards for Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness in New York Thursday.

This is a special honour for TV commercial from India that has won international award as international awards have been rare though print and outdoor commercials have got awards.

Despite having won accolades abroad with an international jury, the campaign was aired only for a brief period in India itself due to low budgets.
