Indian Pharmacists organize annual banquet

Illinois: The Association of Indian Pharmacists in America (AIPHA) organized an annual banquet at India House on which featured an event attended by over 300 guests, reports India Tribune. Mayur Shah, President of AIPHA marked the beginning of event with his speech which emphasized the importance of diwali. He welcomed President Rupesh Manek, Roger Anderson, Gary Prester, Dr. Yesh Amin, and Sudeer Manek, and asked them to light a traditional lamp. It was followed by a dance performance from pharmacy students of Midwestern University - Amisha Mehta, Rita Dharia, Jalpa Thakkar, and Heena Rathod. Rupesh Manek presented a report on the progress of AIPHA. As per its overall goal, he said, AIPHA reduced its expenses and improved its efficiency. "It is now fully operating below the budget and as a result it has increased fundraising capitals. Funds go towards various group activities that take place throughout the year, including the highly successful family socials. Many aspiring pharmacy organizations all over the country are looking at AIPHA's thriving infrastructure and practices to start their own groups," he added. AIPHA released a publication containing a directory of Indian pharmacists, and messages from committee heads, well-wishes and supporters.
