Indian IT firms bet big on U.S., UK markets
New Delhi: The U.S. and the UK markets are still considered attractive for Indian IT service providers, with about 71 percent of surveyed service providers planning to expand their presence in the two countries, says a study. According to a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and CII, the English speaking demographic was one of the key reasons why it was initially easy for Indian companies to align themselves with businesses in the U.S and UK. The study further said the smaller players are more excited about the U.S. and UK, while the bigger players prefer Eastern European countries. However, with the demand slowing down, new markets across Continental Europe, Latin America and the Asia Pacific are poised to gain importance in the coming years.
