West Indian Food

The West Indian foods are mainly the Konkani, Goan and Maharashtrian cuisines that come in diverse varieties of taste, flavor and colour. Other two West Indian states that represent the dessert flavor of the country are Rajasthan and Gujarat.  People of Maharashtra sometimes use peanut oil as the medium for cooking and the major ingredients of their dishes include grated coconut, fishes, peanuts, and cashew nuts. They use both rice and wheat along with variety of fishes that are available at the coastline of Mumbai. Bombay Prawn and Pomfret are some of the tasty dishes made of fish. For Goan cuisine, Portuguese influence can be observed in the style of preperation. Some of the mouth-watering cuisines of this place are duck baffad, sorpotel etc.
