Indian-American center to host auction

Wausau: The American Indian Resource Center of Marathon County (AIRC), a new nonprofit organization is going to host a silent auction fundraiser on February 27.

The auction will take place at its office space in St. Paul United Church of Christ's community center at 319 Fourth St. in downtown Wausau.

The organization will offer youth, cultural, educational, career and elder programs and will create connections and develop understanding between American Indians and others within the community.

Proceeds will be used to open the center on March 1. Services and programs will begin by March 15.
