New Delhi: Zyflex Technologies Inc., Taiwan's networking major, is bullish on India's "high-growth" telecom and IT market and is planning to invest heavily with an aggressive strategic plan next year. The $2 million company, founded in 2002, is a leading network company focusing on last mile access solutions and technologies. It specializes in multi-services broadband access equipment that integrates fiber optical broadband access technologies. "All this while we had been focusing on the Asia-Pacific region. But now we want to focus on India's high-growth telecom and IT market which offers huge potential for companies like us," said Curtis Chang M.J., manager, marketing, Zyflex Technologies on the sidelines of the India Telecom 2006 exhibition that ended on Saturday. "In India we have been showcasing one of the premium products - MSAP 2000 DLC - which supports access to set-top-boxes, video, VoIP (voice over internet protocol), internet access in a single integrated unit," Chang said. Declining to comment on the amount of investment, Chang said, "We have picked up the tender floated by BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) for last mile connectivity. We are trying to sell this MSAP 2000 to them." The company, however, is planning to sell the product to the other state-run telecom major MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd) and not private operators. "By January 2007 we will start marketing this product aggressively to government agencies and in order to be successful in India, we understand that we have to change our strategy." MSAP 2000 was recently awarded tender to supply subscriber lines in Ilam province of Iran. The company currently has presence in Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Iran.
