BANGALORE: Oracle Corporation said on Thursday India is the fastest growing market in the Asia Pacific market. "Oracle has had the best quarter this year in India against all the other previous financial years. India and China are the fastest growing regions and India was the fastest," said Derek Williams, executive vice president for Oracle Asia Pacific in a conference call with the media in Asia. Williams attributed the BFSI, governments, telecom and manufacturing sectors as the primary contributors. "A number of small and medium businesses are also contributing to the overall sales growth," he added. For Oracle, the rest of APAC market is also bouncing back. Slower economies of the region have shown significant growth during the quarter, according to the EVP of the world's second largest software company. Showing no signs of the Madhya Pradhesh government imbroglio, Williams said Oracle has over 30 projects up and running across the country in various state governments. "Our partners continue to contribute 75 percent of Oracle's business in the Asia Pacific region." Worldwide, Oracle witnessed 92 percent growth in the growing outsourcing market, the company is bullish for the Asia Pacific market. "We are 18 to 24 months behind the US. America has over 500 customers and Asia Pacific has 18 for outsourcing. I am quite confident that this is to grow significantly in this region in the coming months," said Williams. Oracle plans to a suite of next generation of products before the end of this year, including the 10G and business intelligence products. The company would also be promoting their product offering as Williams put it, "While IBM campaign is on marketing, Oracle's will be on delivery. We are concerned about enterprises and working towards reducing the cost for them," Williams said.
