India Equity Partners invests $8 Mn in Ikya Human Capital

Bangalore: India Equity Partners has invested $8 million (Rs 32 crore) in HR solutions startup Ikya Human Capital Solutions for an undisclosed equity stake. Bangalore based Ikya is operating in the field of executive search, contingency recruitment, staffing and training solutions. Set up in October 2007, the company was founded by a team of 15 HR professionals from different firms. "The company plans to provide temporary and contract staffing, permanent recruitment, placement and career services and training," said Ramesh Hande, CEO, Ikya. Gaurav Mathur, Managing Director of India Equity Partners opines that Ikya has the potential to become one of the largest players in the Indian HR solutions space. India Equity Partners is part of a pool of funds with more than two billion of capital dedicated to real estate, public and private equity in India. Its philosophy is to generate long term returns over four to seven years. IEP's existing investments include Amtek India, Bharti Infratel, Mannapuram Group of Companies and Ocean Sparkle.
