NEW DELHI: The oil Ministry got the Cabinet signal on Thursday to join the $3.5 billion project to wheel-in gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan (TAP).
The oil mister, Murli Deora, stated that the Centre guranteed investments to fund the project ad speed up the work on transnational pipelines.
Asian Development Banks participation with Washingtons implicit support has helped ease the implementation of TAP and has welcomed it as a key project in Central Asia as TAP professes to be the southern cohort to place Turkey on the new access routes for Central Asian gas without passing through Iran or Russia.
