ISRO to set 'Chandrayaan- 2' in motion by 2013
Kolkata: Three years from now, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch its next moon mission- 'Chandrayaan -2.'It is the second auto-pilot lunar mission planned by ISRO. After going through several flight tests for the Indigenous Cryogenic Engine Stage and having carefully analyzed the snags that occurred during the test, the engine would be ready to function properly, in a year. The Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), K Radhakrishnan said,"The Chandrayaan-2 we are planning to have in the year 2013 and by that time we should have our GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) flying with the Indigenous Cryogenic Engine Stage that's the target with which we are working."
