BANGALORE: Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab (HTSL) - India, a corporate arm of Honeywell International Inc., announced today that it has been assessed at People CMM (Capability Maturity Model) Maturity Level 5. Only 15 PCMM assessments in the world have resulted in a Level 5 rating. “We are a people centric organization and this achievement is a reflection of our commitment to develop, implement and institutionalize people practices aimed at driving excellence and adding value to our partners and customers,” said Dr. Krishna Mikkilineni, Managing Director, HTSL. “It also reinforces our commitment to deploy mature and predictable processes and sustain them as we grow our operation. While we are proud of this achievement, we will work to ensure that the robustness and predictability of all people processes are maintained.” The People CMM (developed by the Software Engineering Institute) consists of five maturity levels that establish successive foundations for shaping the workforce, motivating improved performance, developing effective teams and continuously improving the individual competencies of the organization to accomplish its future business plans. As a part of this assessment, 22 process areas of Level 2 through Level 5 of version 2 of People CMM were covered. “While we have assessed many companies for People CMM at Maturity Level 5, HTSL was the first company with a unique environment of Research & Development to have been assessed for People CMM Level 5” said Rajesh Naik, SEI authorized Lead Assessor from QAI India Ltd. “The engineering approach to all processes – including HR and other support functions -- and its extensive use of Six Sigma methodology reflect mature people practices at HTSL.”
