Hexaware appoints P. R. Chandrasekar as CEO

Mumbai: Hexaware Technologies, a global provider of IT & BPO services and consulting, announced the appointment of P. R. Chandrasekar to succeed Rusi Brij as Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman. Chandrasekar joins Hexaware from Wipro where he was President, Americas and Europe and managed a $3 billion business. Brij will continue with the Company as a board member and serve as Vice Chairman. Hexaware also announced the appointment of Prateek Aggarwal as Chief Financial Officer succeeding P.K. Sridharan, acting CFO, who will continue in the Company as Chief Mentor and Executive Director. Aggarwal was Head of Finance of the Software Division of HCL Technologies. Hexaware is well positioned as a multi- niche player in the IT and BPO space. The company currently services 177 active clients, 63 of which are among the Fortune Global 500. These clients have benefited from Hexaware?s expertise in domains such as Banking, Financial Services, Transportation, Business Intelligence & Analytics and HR ?IT. Hexaware is well poised for its next level of growth and with the appointment of these new executives, the Company has plans to grow into a stronger organisation across geographies which will best serve its clients. Prior to joining Hexaware, Chandrasekar was responsible for the strategic development of the Americas and Europe at Wipro. He has also headed business development, has been responsible for mergers and acquisitions, channel development and other strategic initiatives. He has a great deal of expertise and has played an instrumental role in acquisitions in his previous role. Chandrasekar joined Wipro in May 2000 from GE where he was Director, Business Development for GE India. He has a degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) and has done his MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University. Aggarwal brings with him over 17 years of experience in a diverse set of financial executive roles. Prior to HCL, he was with companies like GE Capital International Services and Hindustan Lever Ltd. Aggarwal is a Management graduate from IIM-Calcutta and a Commerce graduate from Delhi University Chandrasekar and Aggarwal join the Company on June 02, 2008 and will be based in Hexaware?s offices in New Jersey and Mumbai (Mahape) respectively.
