Haryana to set up gems and jewelery park

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Wednesday announced its plans to set up a 
500 million gems and jewellery park to promote its traditional ornaments in the international market.
The park will come up at the Manesar industrial area, close to the national capital, and will promote traditional jewellery crafted by the state's artisans, a Haryana state industrial development corporation official said.
The international market for traditional jewellery was on the rise, the official said.
The air-conditioned park will have facilities like mart area, meeting and conference halls, exhibition areas, manufacturing units, multi-level car parking and 24-hour power back-up, he said.
