CHANDIGARH: Industries are increasingly being set up in Haryana, particularly in the Gurgaon industrial area, because of its infrastructure and proximity to the Indian capital. "Eight large and medium industrial units involving an investment of 13.43 billion have been set up in Haryana in the current financial year," a Haryana industries department spokesman told IANS. Of them, four have been set up in Gurgaon, three in Sonepat and one in Panipat. They provide employment to 727 people. During the last month alone, 42 small-scale units had also been set up, raising to 206 the number of such industries set up during the year.
