Harrah's selects Tibco for business integration platform

PALO ALTO: Tibco Software (Nasdaq: TIBX) announced Friday that Harrah's Entertainment (NYSE: HET) has chosen Tibco's technology as its Enterprise Business Integration Platform.
"Harrah's Entertainment is excited to select TIBCO as a new strategic partner that will provide a key technology ingredient in our next generation business integration strategy," said Harrah's Entertainment Vice President of Information Technology Tim Stanley. "With Tibco's software, we expect to further extend our CRM leadership capabilities by enabling a real-time, active enterprise."
Initially, Tibco's software will be deployed as part of a project that enables new customers of Total Rewards, Harrah's nationwide player-card program, to be recognized in near real-time at every one of the casino-entertainment company's 26 properties, according to Stanley.
"In addition, Harrah's will leverage the powerful combination of Tibco's proven messaging platform, Business Process Management (BPM) tools, and eBusiness Portal and Web Services technology for its next generation enterprise-wide information architecture," Stanley said. "Using Tibco's suite of tools, we are actively upgrading our ability to get, move and use information in real-time, adding value to customers, management and shareholders every step of the way."
