HP top selling notebook computer-IDC

BANGALORE:Hewlett Packard has retained its position as the IndiaÂ’s largest selling notebook computer brand with a share of 33.8 percent, the International Data Corporation has said. HPÂ’s GROUP vice President Ravi Swaminathan said, "HP continues to strive in the direction of providing superior products, enhanced reach, and excellent after sales service even in the B and C cities. We had a series of new launches this year wherein we offered superior product proposition across various segments. This, in addition, to our unparalleled PAN India service network and superior post sales service, has contributed to the consistent growth and success of the company in the notebook space." "HP enters what it has declared the 'Year for Mobility' by leading the market in this high-growth segment while also increasing profitability," said HP mobile computing senior VP and GM Ted Clark. "The market has confirmed HP as the mobile vendor of choice, and these results further reinforce our place in and commitment to the notebook business," he added.
