HP integrity server solution sales cross $1B

BANGALORE:HP today announced that in its fiscal year 2004 the company surpassed $1 billion in sales of HP Integrity server-related solutions globally becoming the leading choice for business' most demanding IT workloads.In India, HP has sold more than 500 Integrity server solutions- providing proof of the increasing popularity of the Integrity line among Indian businesses, a press release from the company said. The company also announced several HP Integrity server global and Indian Customers including The Bank of New York, PREMIER Bankcard, Inc. and CRI/Criterion as well as Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Karvi Consultants Limited, Sundaram-Clayton Limited, Bharat Forge Limited, Bajaj Tempo and Finolex Cables Limited in India. In addition, HP released new enhancements to the entire Integrity server family with faster Intel Itanium 2 processors; new integrated virtualization capabilities across multiple operating systems; expanded high-availability and disaster recovery features for HP-UX 11i and Microsoft Windows Server 2003; industry-first HP Pay per use for Windows; new production releases of the OpenVMS and Linux operating systems; and HP NonStop server evolution services. "HP is investing more than three billion dollars into our Integrity server line. This will span research and development, server and system software design, partner-led applications solutions and sales and marketing," said Richard Marcello, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Business Critical Servers, HP.
