HLL Q1 net down 23%

MUMBAI: Hindustan Lever has reported a 23% decline in net profit at Rs 294.88 crore for the first quarter ended March 31, 2004 as against a net profit of Rs 382.92 crore in Q1FY03.

Total income declined 4% to Rs 2,424.69 crore from Rs 2,519.38 crore in MQ03, according to a release issued to the BSE today.

The stock was down nearly 3% (Rs 4) at Rs 141 on the BSE at 1350hrs.
