HDIL net profit dips 66 percent

Mumbai: Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) Wednesday reported a 66.19 percent fall in its net profit to 107.47 crore in the quarter ended June 30, compared to 317.94 crore in the same period last fiscal. The total income of the company dipped 88.66 percent to 318.62 crore during the period under review from 601.13 crore in the April-June quarter last year. The HDIL scrip fell sharply by 7.3 percent and was ruling at 267.35, compared to its previous close of 288.40. The company also said it would issue securities worth $450 million.
