HCC signs MoU with AMEC for nuclear technology

Mumbai: Delhi-based engineering company Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the international engineering and project management company AMEC, to jointly explore the application of consulting and EPC services for the establishment of nuclear power plants in India. Ajit Gulabchand, Chairman and Managing Director, HCC said, "Our partnership will provide flexible and technology independent platforms to reduce the cost of building new nuclear power plants in India." As per the agreement, the company said that it will further strengthen its capabilities to execute services in the field of mechanical and electrical components of nuclear power plants by sourcing prevailing technologies through AMEC.
