GroundWork names Ranga Rangachari Chief Executive

FREMONT: GroundWork Open Source Solutions Inc., a provider of open source-based network monitoring software, said that it has named Ranga Rangachari Chief Executive. Rangachari replaces co-founder Robert Fanini, who will remain with the company focusing on market development and strategic relationships. Prior to joining GroundWork, Rangachari was CEO and founder of enterprise storage company Invio Software, which was acquired by Veritas in July 2004. Prior to Invio, Rangachari spent 11 years at Legato Systems, now part of EMC Corp., and held various sales, product management and strategic planning posts. The company is based in Emeryville, CA.
