NEW DELHI: Flextronics software services Ltd, a mid-sized Indian telecoms software developer, said its quarterly profit declined marginally. Flextronics software, 69.7 percent owned by Singapore-based Flextronics International Ltd, posted a consolidated profit of $5.6 million in April-June, compared with $5.65 a year ago. Flextronics International, the world's top contract electronics manufacturer, had bought the Indian firm last year and renamed it Flextronics Software Services Ltd. Flextronics' shares surged 26.4 percent during April-June, partly on the announcement that its parent plans to buy the remaining public share holding at Rs 575 a share, outpacing Bombay's technology sub-index, which gained more than 7 percent in the same period.
