Kolkata: ITC Infotech, one of the fastest growing Indian IT service providers, Friday announced it has signed a framework agreement with Finnair for outsourcing of significant projects to be delivered in an onsite-offshore mode. Under the agreement, ITC Infotech will implement the frequent-flyer loyalty programme and marketing and promotions applications at Finnair, a company release said. This will be followed by support and maintenance services for these applications for a five-year period. This engagement showcases cutting edge customer relationship management (CRM) technologies delivering the loyalty programme for Finnair. ITC Infotech's CRM expertise coupled with its focus on the airlines and travel segment helped it clinch the deal in the face of stiff competition from other offshore IT service providers. The contract envisages a significant and growing business volume across several years to support not just the CRM systems but also other application areas, as the airline continues expanding its network. The contract was signed in Helsinki. Finnair, a leading European Airline and a member of several strategic airline community alliances, chose ITC Infotech as long-term strategic sourcing partner due to its commitment and investment in the airlines and travel domain, the company claimed. Hardeep Garewal, CEO of ITC Infotech UK, speaking about the deal, said: "Finnair did a rigorous evaluation of our capabilities and ability to take on an area as strategic as the loyalty programme for the airline." "The key factors which made them decide in our favour were our business model flexibility, quality and depth of expertise of our people, excellent client references and above all, the mature organisational processes, including corporate governance, that a group like ITC brings to the IT services business," he said.
