Ex-Computer Associates staffer to plead guilty

NEW YORK : Lloyd Silverstein, a former senior vice-president for Computer Associates, is expected to enter a guilty plea of obstruction of justice in the federal investigation into the software company’s accounting practices, The New York Times said on Thursday. Citing people close to the investigation, the paper said Silverstein intends to plead guilty in United States District Court in Brooklyn to one count of obstruction of justice related to the company’s conduct during the probe, which federal prosecutors and the SEC began two years ago.
