Emirates offers free accomodation for its business travelers in Durban

Dubai: Emirates is offering its business travelers to Durban with free accommodation in this South African city. The carrier is set to launch services to Durban on October 1st, bringing passengers to the province of Kwa Zulu Natal. The offer which includes two complimentary nights of accommodations in a standard room at Durban's Southern Elangeni Hotel, will mark the opening of Emirates' 17th route into Africa. The offer is valid for Emirates passengers traveling between October 1st and December 24th, and covers single or double room occupancy, buffet breakfast and free Discovery Durban entertainment vouchers. The vouchers include access to Ushaka Marine Park and Sun Coast private beach; movie tickets at SunCoast Casino entertainment center and take-away meals from SunCoast Casino entertainment center's participating outlets. Nigel Page, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations of the Americas & Africa, Emirates, said, "We are pleased to present an opportunity for tourists to visit this popular province, and we expect Durban to perform well across all sectors; business, leisure and those visiting friends and relatives." The Kwa Zulu Natal province is blessed with an abundance of wildlife, playing host to some of Africa's most famous nature and game reserves, as well as hundreds of miles of subtropical beaches on the Indian Ocean coastline. The province is a key commercial and manufacturing centre, with the city of Durban recognized as the busiest port in Africa. Emirates SkyCargo has established a base in the city to support the movement of goods. Emirates, an official partner for FIFA 2010 in South Africa, is also offering its Business Class passengers complimentary chauffeur-drive, exclusive lounges, Business Class check-in desks and priority baggage handling. Beginning October 1st, Flight EK 775 will depart Dubai at 10:25 a.m., arriving at Durban International Airport at 5:10 p.m. EK 776, leaves Durban at 6:40 p.m., arriving in Dubai at 5:20 a.m. A 278-seat Airbus A330-200 in a two-class configuration will be deployed on the route with a flight time of around 8 hours 45 minutes. Emirates passengers can connect to Durban flight EK 775 in Dubai from any of Emirates' four U.S. gateways: New York, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In addition to the new service to Durban, the carrier already flies thrice daily service to Johannesburg and daily into Cape Town.
