EMC, Tata Infotech in pact

MUMBAI: EMC Corporation has announced a relationship with Tata Infotech, under which Tata Infotech will help customers in India deploy robust information storage infrastructure using EMC's best of breed platforms, software and networked solutions. "EMC recognizes that a strong partner network is crucial for us to grow our business. We are focused on engaging selected local partners who will enable us to extend our market reach and geographical penetration. We are confident that as a leading systems integrator, Tata Infotech, with its strength in the telecom, finance, manufacturing and defense sectors can help us expand the market for networked storage in India" said EMC India and SAARC president Manoj Chugh. "This relationship will help us better meet the systems integration requirements of our customers across domains because EMC offers the broadest range of industry leading information storage hardware and management software," said Tata Infotech, COO, Charles Antony. EMC's established partner network in India comprises global partners such as Dell and Datacraft, and an Indian network of integrators such as Wipro, HCL and Tata Elxsi. Tata Infotech is also a systems integration partner to leading technology companies like Sun, Cisco, HP-Compaq, BEA, Computer Associates, Hitachi, MapInfo, Business Objects, SAS and SCO.
