Dr Reddy's JV plans Rs 100-cr expansion

NEW DELHI: Pathnet India Private Ltd, a joint venture between pharmaceutical major Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Australia's Gribbles, is on an expansion drive and has plans to invest about Rs 100 crore in a span of next four years. "We will be investing about $40 million (about Rs 100 crore) in next four years to further expand our operations," Pathnet India Pvt Ltd managing director, Malcolm Stringer told reporters. Stringer said the company would be establishing hub facility along with satellite centres and patient centres in all the metros and Hyderabad this year. He said the expansion would be funded by both the joint venture partners. Stating that the company had state-of the art testing facilities, Stringer said they were also open to having clinical trials. "We can offer clinical trials for a large population having a vast gene pool," he said. Gribbles which is headquartered in Australia also operates in Malaysia and all its centres are connected through satellite links. Stringer said the company would soon be hiring employees for its new units and has plans to expand in Delhi. Cuurently it has two satellite labs in the Capital and its main centre is located in Gurgaon.
