NEW DELHI: Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, said on Monday that it times 100 percent growth in India annually and aims to double revenues every quarter now. "If, China is the fastest growing market, Korea highest revenue contributing, then India is second and catching up in both growing markets and revenue generating,” said Bruce Symes, Vice-President and General Manager, Asia, Hitachi Data Systems. Quoting that the company plans to double its India headcount in 12 months, he said Hitachi was in the process of opening an office in New Delhi. “We will also add people in Bangalore and Mumbai,” Symes said. Hitachi claims that the storage platform changes the industry dynamics of data storage by powering an embedded virtualization layer capable of managing up to 32 petabytes of internal and external storage. It also announced its TagmaStore Universal Storage Platform aimed at improving storage efficiency and reducing the total cost of ownership of enterprise storage.
