The story of the film Sarfarosh is set against the backdrop of illegal arms trade that take place in India through the state of Rajasthan with the help of many middlemen. Aamir Khan played the role of an honest young ACP Rathod who has given the assignment to stop such illegal business and to find out the mastermind. Naseeruddin Shah who played the character of Gulfam Hussan portrays himself as a ghazal singer but in actual he is the main terror conduit in the film.

Dr. Dang or DD, played beautifully by the veteran actor Anupam Kher wore a sophisticated doctor look and an over the top beard. When Rana slaps DD, he didn’t realize he was committing a huge mistake. DD replies by slaughtering Rana’s entire family forcing Rana to take help of crooks who were on a death-row to take revenge. Dr. Dang’s plans and his fleet of men can never be forgotten.
