Corbis eyes the India market

International digital media and stock images company, Crobis, announced a partnership with Indiapicture.com. and makes an entry into the digital media market in India. Indiapictures represents 126 photographers and through this partnership, the Indian media market can avail access into the 70 million pictures of Corbis. The partnership comes in light the of company’s expansion plan after it recently bought another company in Australia. While noticing that the stock photography market in India was 5 to 10 million, the Bill Gates founded company predicted a growth at a rate of 40 to 60 percent. “ We hope to capture 50 percent of the market share in two to three years time,” said Steve Davis, CEO of Corbis. Corbis provides online digital assets management, clearing IPR issues for clients and producing editorial images and under taking management.
